Today's sketch is a little complex. I didn't have a clear direction and my fingers just took over. I knew I didn't want a white base and I knew I would use a monochromatic element - in this case just a panel with texture in Certainly Celery. The bright DP was sitting on my table and it matched, so that panel went on. I stamped a few strands of grass on the big panel but decided to put the sentiment on that panel. Lastly, a bright red popped up flower to match the whimsical flowers on the DP. Done!
Not my best, but I am proud to finish this one- phew! Looking forward to seeing how everyone approached this sketch. Many thanks to Dawn for hosting today.

Kathy - I love your take on the sketch challenge - I love these colors and how you combined them. I found this to be a very difficult sketch and I think you rocked it!!

Well, I haven't checked out the sketch yet, but you can sure be pleased with your crack at it! It quite popped out at me from the gallery thumbnails, and it's ever better up close and personal. Love that textured panel. That is one item I will have to order!

I'm struggling a bit with this sketch too, so I came to look at the gallery, which I usually leave till after I've made mine.
I really like this - using the same colour for the first panel as the base makes it much less busy, and that lovely flower really draws the eye.
