Made for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday #63--"Saving Lou-la-bella Rock-a-fella".
"EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!
Dateline: Today, the Teapot Communique', Robin Red-Breast Leach, reporting.
"We have all heard the terrible story of how beautiful heiress Lou-la-bella Rock-a-fella has been apparently kidnapped by an ill-reputed 'big yella' insect. This story is changing so quickly, as thousands of ladybugs are volunteering for a search-and-rescue mission. "We WILL find her!" says her oft-seen companion, Milton Hilton, perhaps her best-known searcher. Hilton, who is known far-and-wide, has recruited not only an army of ladybugs, but also a specialized militia of other insects.
"Signing up to march under Hilton are the following glittering military personages such as the "High Flier" dragonfly, Milt Vanderbilt, the "Glory Glider", butterfly Bonduront duPont, the "Bomber Beetle", Tank Tankersley, and the leader of that Awesome Army of Ants, Nate Bates ("Bill") Gates.
"All have the same winning mindset as their leader, Hilton. This reporter has no doubt that Lou-la-bella will, indeed, return home to her family and many friends, and on the arm of handsome Milton Hilton. Can wedding bells be too far in the future? Keep an eye on this column as the situation develops."

What an awesome layout. I love the collection of bugs that you used. I like how the butterfly is only partially on the one panel. I may have to case this card sometime!

Can it be the REAL Milton Hilton?? Can the yella-bug be perpetrating a hoax?? Only time will tell! Love your addition of ants, dragonfly, etc!

It's just beautiful though. You have alot of people...ahem, I mean insects out there looking for Lou-la. I'm wondering if she has really been kidnapped, some tell me she loves being called Mariska. Love your quilt of insects. Sounds weird huh, but it is beautiful. TFS

The militia is coming? Yikes! Okay, now is this story the truth or a fabrication written by Robin Red Breast Leach for the sole purpose of gathering insects for a afternoon snack for the nest full of jabbering baby birds screaming to mommy about their hunger pains! Hmm...... by the looks of the assortment of insects on your card, it looks like a might well rounded snack! Giggle!
What a great story! I knew a reporter would show up sooner or later! Wonder if the tea potters will be invited to the wedding??? A great card you brought to the tea party this week!

What a fabulous reporter you are with such a wonderful account of today's story, Kelly! I see you brought all kinds of reinforcements to help out the ladybugs today, too; good thinking! I like the various designer papers and the sketch you used. Very cute!
(Sorry I'm so late in posting a comment; I got called away for a family event---my sis is here visiting from Washington state!!)
