This has a tag for Jen's challenge, but it's primarily the one I've wanted to make all along for Deb's.
What's the music?
Debussy's La Fille au cheveux de lin - when my mother was a student in Paris, she played violin in a chamber orchestra. This was *her* tune that a pianist friend always played for her.
Tom Howard's version of *How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place*, which we learned from a dear friend who sadly died of secondary cancer a couple of years ago. My favourite photo from her wedding is her, still in her wedding dress, leaning in to her dad as they both tuned up their fiddles to play some Irish music.
Lehar's Gold and Silver Waltz, because I stamped the background music in gold and silver...
Marchetti and Reis's Fascination Waltz, because DH was listening to a classical guitar version while I was colouring the image.
Music, because I can't imagine life without music
5 3/4" square black base. Next layer is DP by me - Basic Grey stamped with a Stampendous music stamp in gold and silver, and a flourish in black, embossed in gold, silver and black. Then the violin image, stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils. I added Glossy Accents to the flowers and insects, tore the edges and sponged with Antique Linen. The violin was stamped again on white card, sponged with Vintage Photo, Crackle Accents round the side, and popped up on foam. The tag was stamped on watercolour paper, flourishes added, and sponged with Antique Linen. The cream Prima was stamped with the music score in brown, matt gold stamens and a half pearl for the centre. The paper curls are some old sheet music of my grandmother's. Flower is popped up on thick foam tape.
