Last week I went to a shoebox party and made this card. In Stampin' Up! vocabulary this is called "Reverse Masking". It reminds me of stenciling. I have a bunch of Creative Memories templates that I'm gonna have fun making more cards like this one.
To make: Trace out shape on scrap piece of copy weight paper, then stipple or sponge in ink in center while keeping outside edges of card ink-free. Then stamp floral stamp in same color ink as a "shadow" of blossom, then remove mask. Clean stamp and apply with color. Stamp sentiment in black to the side. The stamp was once part of an SU hostess gift.

This is a very pretty card! I think I'm going to CASE it for my sister's upcoming birthday. I haven't tried the reverse masking yet so this will be a new technique for me also. TFS!
