Last weekend, my friend Maggie lost 9 members of her immediate family and 5 close friends in a private plane crash. 7 of the 14 were children ages 10 and under (plus, not included in this count was the baby yet to be born). I had a horrible time making this card (for obvious reasons) but I really felt that I needed to stick with it and make this card vs taking the "easy" way and buying a card.
More details on the card can be found on my blog. http://sn-exploringcreativity.blogsp.../sympathy.html
Thanks for looking: And if you wouldn't mind....please keep Maggie and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh my goodness, we saw that story on the news. Such a tragic accident, so many young lives lost. Your card is beautiful and I am sure your friend will appreciate how hard it must have been for you to make it. We keep those lost and those left behind to grieve in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for the reason you had to make this card, how unimaginably dreadful for your friend. I think you made a perfect job with this - it's beautifully done and I'm sure she will love to know that she has your support at such a time.

How awful. But I am sure you did right in persevering to make a sympathy card yourself, it will definitely mean more. And it is a lovely card, the colours are great, and the simple style is perfect for sympathy.
