This is an OLD challenge that I started but never finished... To use your favourite things to make a project.
I love drawing parts of my card images and I love my little penguin stamp. I love pelicans and I love going boating on the St Lawrence River near Brockville where I live. These are a few of my favourite things.
I stamped the penguin and masked him off and then stamped the pelican. I drew in the bottom of the post the pelican is sitting on to make it tall enough and then I drew in the rest of the scene except for the sail boat on the right which is also a stampendous stamp.
I coloured it all with my Tombows and the sponged the edges with Versafine brown and then added the dots. Next I mounted it on a white card base and sponged that and added the dots there. Last I handwrote my sentiment.
My friend Robinringtail has told me that my penguin should take a trip around the world and so today he sets off from Brockville for wherever his heart might take him.
Hope you like this little scene I made as much as I loved doing it.
Thanks for looking and thanks for any comments.

I am just sitting here grinning from ear to ear. This is the most delightful scene and again, the talent you possess just fills me with awe and wonder. My heart is filled with so much admiration, and how SWEET is that masked penguin. Simply amazing, Lori. He is cartoonish and soooo much FUN yet he blends so beautifully with the rest of your charming setting. I don't know, though, this would be very hard to let go of...

Oh my goodness. You drew in the rest of the scene? Except the sailboat, a minor detail. Wow. This is soooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing. Wow Wow Wow. How can you part with this beauty? I think it should be framed.

This card is so cute with the critters! I love the penguin in flippers with mask and snorkel, THAT especially tickled the funny bone. Wow, I never would have known that any of this was drawn, it's wonderful. I love the whimsy of it. I wish your "pengy-pal" delightful travels.

Please place your card in a waterproof case and ask your penguin to drop it off at my house on his travels!!! It's just so much fun to look at and I'm sure you had great fun creating it.
