The challenge today was to combine orange and coffee.
Here's my take on it.
My girlfriend's Pat and Glenda and I went out for a small craft crawl today and we were talking about the challenge. Glenda remembered my coffee cup stamp and suggested that I do some paper piecing with it with some Halloween DP. And I may do that yet. Pat came up with the title for the card. Thanks girls!!!
But I just got my bats stamp and the little frog just came from Rubber Hedgehog and I got a visual of the bats rising like steam from an orange coffee cup with the little frog sitting in front of it.
So I stamped the frog and masked him, then masked the coffee stamp to take off the heart in the center and the cuppa love sentiment on the side and inked it up and removed the mask and stamped it on. Then I masked off the cup and stamped the bat steam. Next I spnged with Tango Tangerine and Kiwi Kiss and drew on the barbed wire after I watercoloured the image. I mounted the main panel on black and then Kiwi Kiss and Then Tangerine Tango and wrote the sentiment around the outside edge. Last I added some coffee beans to the bottom of the card to put some visual weight there.
I wanted to do something to the top of the card but my DB said that it was good like it was so I stopped myself from adding anything more.
This was a really fin challenge and hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it. TFL!!!

Wow! Great card, and after reading all that went into making it I am guessing you have had a few cups already...hee-hee! This will be a hard one to give away, IMO!

I have that coffee mug and NEVER would have thought of using it this way. You pull so many ideas together and what you don't have you just make...I can't say enough how amazing your creativity is. When it flows, it positively GUSHES!!
