The challenge today was to do a stained glass card using acetate and cutting a window out of the card base.
I love the Fishy Fishy stamps from rubber necker and wanted to use them for this challenge along with a fish bowl stamp I also have and haven't had a chance to use yet. Actually it was the fish bowl I thought would be cool for the challenge and the Fishy Fishy stamps just sort of followed naturally.
I stamped the bowl onto acetate and onto the card stock layered for the front of the card and cut out the fish bowl from the card base and layers as one. I cut out the window covering for the inside of the card at the same time as well. Gotta love those paper snips. I stamped my scene into the fish bowl and painted it as instructed - by using reinkers mixed into crystal effects. I mounted the fish bowl into the window once it was dry and then wrote my sentiment inside the card. I stamped the bird and starfish, coloured them, cut them out and mounted them on the front of the card. Then I stamped and coloured 4 pieces of sand and added those on top. I highlighted the sand with dark brown marker and added the dots and the white lined to the card base.
Hope you like my version of stained glass. My sunken ship scuba diving penguin scene was such a hilarious hit that I thought I'd go back there and maybe give some of you a laugh today as well.
Thanks for an awesome first challenge Lynn it was really alot of fun!!!
