Here is my card for today, I found some transparency so I didn't have to go shopping. YEAH!
I've been saving plastic windows from everything I buy - mostly from craft stores - such as the plastic packaging from my cuttlebug embossing folders. It's nice thick plastic and if I cut out just the flat part, it doesn't take much room for storage. I have a little stash of it just for these projects. Tonight I'm gonna finally play with it!

The ink to dry that is! My dh thinks I'm nuts for hairdrying my cards !
I've been using acetate all week (how do you always know these things, Julia?!) so I wanted to try some techniques/styles I hadn't tried yet. Settled on Smackin' Acetate and a Shaker Card.

Today's challenge to use transparencies. I stamped Merci on acetate in Close to Cocoa and punched it out with the small oval punch. I then attached it onto the larger oval punch, using brads. --Thanks Julia cool challenge.
Is Heartfelt one of the sets to get the boot??? Is it retiring???? I really like using it, I find it easy to do. --But on an up note, I'm looking forward to all the new sets that must be coming in the new Carry. I can't wait
I've got a couple of weddings coming up, so I'm trying out different cards. Here is one I made for the challenge. I also got to use a new die for my Cuttlebug.
First time using the acetate in this box. I kind of like the way it turned out - done in school colors. I will be making some of these for DD class and teachers. 2-4-6-8 Box by Stampin'4Fun at Splitcoaststampers
I did a twist on the Pearly Window technique, using white Staz-on and black cardstock, instead of black Staz-on and a lighter neutral CS. Here's the results:
Ugh... I really hate this card! I thought about this challenge all day, commented on everyone's cards all day while I was at work, and was so anxious to get home tonight and work on the ideas I had all day and nothing worked. So I resorted to this, and really hate it but would feel worse if I had given up. I'm on a roll lately, trying to do the challenges every day and I didn't want to let this one go by. Here it is, anyway...

I love this challenge. I, of course, went with a shaker card. I really need to try stamping directly onto acetate. This challenge has inpsired me to do it for the first time. Here is my card for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day. Beautiful MIL by keltika3 at Splitcoaststampers
Here's mine - finally! I couldn't get the layout and had to keep putting it down and leaving it for a while. I think I'm pretty happy with how it came out, but I think it's because I just love looking at the BasicGrey paper.
