Was wondering if it is allowed just to "watch" what is happening. I have not participated in this kind of event. Actually, I haven't participated in any of SCS events! There is so much on this site, it's sometimes over whelming, but I love it.

Of course you can be a lurker, and just 'watch' what's goin' on.....but, after the first challenge, you may just want to jump in!!! It's so much fun, you should give it a whirl! You don't have to do ALL of the challenges, you can just do which ones you want to do!! We'd love to have you join us, Vicki!!
Wow, today was the first day I checked out the scrapbooking threads and just in time to get geared up for VSBN, Yippee! I joined SU to start scrapbooking and 3 years later I have a Bazzion cards but, no scrapbook pages. LOL Thanks ladies for all your great posts & ideas to jump start my scrapbooking venture.

Want to make sure I understand this...the challenges will come out every 2 hourse, but we don't have to DO them then. I could spend Monday doing the challenges? I can't play until then!
I've missed you guys too!! I may try to join in this weekend!! I'm trying to get a friend to come over with me and get some scrapbooking done! She looks at peoples' stuff on here, but she never joins in...so I'm going to see if I can't get her to join in with the scrapbooking gals!

Helen, you have to have each challenge done in two hours. And the deadline for uploading to be included in the judging, is Monday at 3pm PST. So as long as you can get your creations uploaded to the gallery by then, you are in!!!!!

Hi! I am very new to SCS (as you can see by the # of posts I have!lol) and have never done a challenge of ANY kind. This seems like it will be a LOT of fun, and I would like to *try* to participate *if* my baby and husband will give me the time! I do have a question though... I've noticed this is a US site and was just wondering if Canadians are allowed to participate? Thank you very much.

Lynn, If you look at the main page "Virtual Scrapbooking Night". There should be a thread later today that says something like "VSBN Enchanted Weekend Challanges" Sorta like the warm up weekend. JMO. Our Fairy Godmother would most likly be better at answering.

Of corse you are!!! hehe! Seeing that our Fairy Godmother (the VSBN coordinator) is a Canadian.....I think she'd have a hard time turning down other Canadians to play!!!!

I have been lurking on here (in the UK ) for a few weeks - Can I join in too time differences permitting ??
Everyone can join no matter where you are from. That's the beauty of Virtual Scrapbook Weekend. You just have to spend 2 hours on each challenge and no more and upload before the deadline. My first VSNs I never uploaded anything, just played along. It would be difficult to hit the challenges on the right time from the UK because of the time differences but I would just do what I can at the right time and catch up those challenges missed when everyone else is sleeping. Just be sure to post before the deadline.

6x6 pages ever before. I was just wondering if there was a specific size sb page we needed to make? Or can we just do whatever size we want to ?
TIA and hopefully I can get into at least one challenge.
Okay. I just came up with another question as I was hitting submit. It starts at 10 pst. What time is that in Wisconsin CST? I never could figure out those silly time change things.

I am in Arkansas so we are also CST. We start at 12pm.

OF COURSE Canadians can play!!!!!!! EVERYONE can play!! That is the beauty of the Virtual Scrapbooking Weekend! You can join in when you can. Just spend no more than two hours on a challenge and be sure to upload your creation to the gallery with the challenge keywords and you are eligible to win some of our LOVELY prizes!!!
It's a ton of fun and we would love nothing more than for you to join us!! The more the merrier!!!
The challenges begin at 10am PST, 11am MT, noon CT and 1pm EST and will be posted every 2 hours!!
Also, I will be posting a separate closed thread with the challenges in it. Just look in the VSBN forum and it will be at the top, when I post it closer to start time. The challenges will all be posted in one thread. Then there will be a separate thread posted by your Fairy Hostess for that challenge where you can ask questions about that challenge and also post a link to your creation when you add it to the gallery!!!

Sorry, I almost forgot!!! There is no limit to the size of scrapbook pages that you do! You can do 12x12, 8x11, 6x6, 8x8, whatever size you like!! Just be sure to upload it to the appropriate category in the gallery!!!
I have to work in the yard today, but tonight is mine. DH is going to think I'm crazy to keep checking on the board LOL I have a stack of pictures I want to get done, all sizes and B&W. My poor printer almost left me yesterday!

I don't have any idea, but I would think you can do it digitally. But I'm not the one who says.
But I have question for you. I've seen some beautiful digital scrapbook pages online. But what do you do with them? Do you save them on a disk and share them with others like that? Do you post them online somewhere to share them? Or do you print them out and put them in a traditional album?
And what kind of program do you use to do the digital layouts?

You can print them out an put them in an album. I just finished my album from Myrtle Beach and I plan on printing them out 8x8 and giving it to my DH for his birthday. I may give a copy to my mom for Mother's day too!
Cindy...can I give a suggestion. Uploading only on Monday by 3:00 PM will be tough for those that work. Could we get the time extended a little later??

Yes, you can do it that way if you like. Just be sure to note that you did it digitally when you upload it to the gallery and in the chat thread. Thanks for joining in!!
According to a post by Kimmie the other day they are allowing us to upload on Sunday for VSBN! Pretty cool, huh?

Actually there IS uploading on Sunday and it is instant uploading too!!
