Stampin Up Question

Does anyone know why Stampin Up no longer puts the year the stamp came out on the individual stamps? When you don't have the year it makes it difficult to find the catalog in which it appears.

Thanks for your ideas. And you are right-I don't really mean realistic. I guess I should have said depth or dimension. I just never found any threads on how to make the die cuts look better.
