Do you have a nursing home or senior center nearby? Our local nursing homes gladly accept craft items (as well as magazines, clothing, Christmas decorations, and lots of other stuff too).
I donate my extra craft supplies to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation Schools. The children live in poverty conditions and really appreciate all the new supplies that are donated.
I dontate my craft supplies to the local elementary school art department and my local library which has kids craft programs. They always appreciate it.
If you're still looking for a place to donate, might I suggest your local woman's shelter? They are always looking for craft items that the women and children can work together with.
