by Wendy Lee

Score and cut to make this special fold card.

Supplies

  • Cardstock - 5 1/2” x 11” (Stampin’ Up!® Early Espresso cardstock used here)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring tool
  • Bone folder
  • Other supplies as needed to complete the project (SU supplies used here: Merry Merlot, Terracotta Tile, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand & Whisper White cardstock, Copper Foil, Come to Gather Designer Series paper, Early Espresso ink, Ornate Frames dies, All-Around Wreath dies, Cajun Craze linen thread, Crumb Cake satin edge ribbon, Gold Faceted Gems, SNAIL adhesive, Dimensionals)

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Score along the long side of 5 1/2” x 11” cardstock at 2 1/2", 3", 3 1/2" & 5 1/2".

  2. Step 2

Turn the cardstock and cut along the outside sections to create a 1” frame.

  3. When cutting sides, do not cut between the 3” and 3-1/2” score lines.

  4. Step 3

Mountain fold the outer edge of the card base along score lines.

  5. Step 4

Embellish the card as desired to complete the project.

  6. Add a raised embellishment to the inner panel that will hold the easel up when the card is on display.

  7. Step 5

    Complete the project.

Why is this called a swing card? It is lovely, but it really doesn't swing, does it? Or am I missing something?
