Stampin’  Pastels

by Brenda Freeson

Try this unique twist on using Versamark® ink and pastels.

Supplies

  • Cardstock

  • Pastels (also known as chalks)

  • Versamark™

  • Sponges

  • Rubber stamps

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Ink clean stamp with Versamark™.

  2. Step 2

Use sponge to apply pastel to Versamarked stamp in a tapping motion.

You may have to gently blow off any excess pastel. "Huff" on your stamp before stamping image onto paper to remoisten.

  3. Step 3

Continue steps 1 and 2 until all images have been stamped.

  4. Step 4

The only ink that was used for this entire project was Versamark™. You can see the difference between Versamark™ alone and 'Stampin Pastels'; the smaller flower (upper left) was done using this technique and the others were stamped in Versamark™ alone.

  5. Step 5

    Finish your card.
