WOW, Stef, this weeks inspiration piece is fantastic! I can't tell you how much time I spent in that room...and reading how the winner dreamed and imagined, scrimped and saved, patiently waiting all those years for her vision to become reality! AWESOME!!!!
This challenge took some time also. I knew I wanted to recreate her room. I began with the Louis XV chair (Michelle Ward's Green Pepper Press) which was in her sitting area. It and the wardrobe from SU Fashion Statements were inked in Adirondack latte and embossed with sea foam ep (onto white GP cs). I paper pieced the panels in the wardrobe with Anna Griffin's damask clear stamp that was inked in VersaMagic sea breeze on white. I 'silvered' my knobs. The fabUlous chaise is actually a wonderful couch from Rubber Stamps of America that I trimmed. It is inked in TI di old paper and embossed with the sea foam on SU soft sky. The rug is from RubberMoon, stamped in the latte and embossed in clear. The background wall and rug and larger bg paper is all from MME 29th ST Market papers...I've lost track of the names as I've used them up, but they are current! One of the things that inspired me was the owner said, 'there were 10 shades of blue she hand mixed!' I wanted to convery that shading also. The sentiment is from SU's Natural Beauty...inked in soft sky and stamped directly onto the MME paper. I chose to use this as wallpaper. My floor is white as the inspiration room, I cuttlebugged it with the diamond embossing folder. I added a stitched ribbon to minic baseboard. And finally I cut around the top of the wardrobe to give it some presence in the room. I used a bit of SU bayou blue as a mat.
I admire Catherine from Mill Valley. She waited till her children were grown to realize her dream of a retreat within her house. 17 years!!! But it happened! So what are YOU incubating...did you catch the patience part? I know that's a weakness in me! Thanks so much for your comments!

OMG. I cannot believe this fantastic room. I can just see myself sitting on that Louis VX chair and just dreaming. I could be trying to find my patience. I love this. Now I must go back and read more about this room. Love your floor. This is awesome. TFS a true inspired, recreated retreat of a room. Lovely......

This is wonderful, Susan! You have recreated the room just beautifully. I also don't think I've ever seen so many furniture image stamps. Patience, hmmm. Where do I get some?

The perfect bedroom. I didn't read the details of the designer of the bedroom, Thanks so much for the filling in the details. You really captured this gorgeous bedroom in your card.
