First of all I want to say Thank You to Stef for the Inspirational Challenge. Here is the link to the sample we had to use for inspiration for our card: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I chose the Yellow candle and the box design as a starting point for my card. I stamped a border of flowers on the c/s and then carefully cut around the top so I would have a place to put my
" God's Porch " poem. I then stamped and cut more flowers and used Badmom's PlumpIt paper plumping tool ( she has a few listed on e-bay right now, the item # is 130223344065) to shape 3 of the flowers outward and the remaining 2 towards the base of the card. I love the dimension the PlumpIt gives to the flowers and how quickly it works too !
Here is the poem which I found on a website looking for an e-card awhile back:
GodÂ’s Porch
If I could sit across the porch from
God, IÂ’d thank Him for the glory of
dawn. IÂ’d thank Him for starry
skies, for moonlit nights, and for walks
in the rain. IÂ’d thank Him for
loving and being loved, for memories,
and for the promise of tomorrow. IÂ’d
thank Him for listening to the wishes
of a child, for the magic in the touch of
a hand, for friends and family, and for
the dreams we dream. If I could
sit across the porch from God, IÂ’d thank
Him for the wisdom of time, the grace
of hope, and for all the wonder found
in this miraculous journey we call life.

Beautiful pocket card, I really like the yellow it pops. the flowers are very pretty and I'm sure this will cheer your sister.
Sorry to hear that she is not well, I hope she recovers quickly.
