Well, thanks so much for a wonderful inspiration challenge, to use something in our homes. I love flowers, just LOVE them. And I also like antiques, they can be chipped, discolored, I do not care, I love old stuff. hence the teapot in my card, a little yellowed, a little chipped, but all the more beautiful because of those imperfections. One of my favorite flowers is lily of the valley. When I was little my mom would let me pick them and bring them to my teacher, I was a bit of an *eddie haskell* even back then for those of you who remmeber him! Anyway my inspiration for this card was this lovely bone chin a plate in my house thAT you see in the photo. And I am sending it to Florida to my friend Jerri Kay to thank her for bringing us her stunning creations, many of which use the * Me and Carrie lou* stamps. And to thank her for this card which she made for mE!! WT159 Rose for Nancy by Jerri Kay at Splitcoaststampers So I hope you like it, I am thrilled with the outcome if I do say so myself, and thanks for looking.
I stamped garden silhouettes in the background in stamped off pine needles distress ink, and sponged soft sky and cool carribean over them. I touched the flowers with white liquid pearsl after I watercolored them. The flowers and teapot are stamped in versamark on watercolor paper and embossed in different gold eps. I used a darker gold for the teapot because i wanted to make it look old and a little beaten up, unlike the fresh and beautiful flowers that grace my yard each spring. I watercolored with distress inks. The lilies and teapot are cut out, the small liles are put behing the bigger spray which is popped up.

This is breathtaking! I love lily of the valley also! I was just raking the back yard today where they should be popping up sooner or later as the weather warms up! Your friend will love this! TFS

Ooooooh, this is gorgeous! I have such nastalgic memories of lilies of the valley at my grandmother's house. She had beautiful flower gardens and I always adored these dainty little treasures. Your card is so gorgeous I think I can get a hint of fragrance from these lilies!
