This is so cute! For those who need directions for this box I know that Nichole Heady has a tutorial on her blog just type Nichole Heady typepad on your search and it should come up, another AMAZING tutorial is on you tube and by the talented Kristina Werner it is a step by step video, her username there is starofmay, or you can find it under origami box instructions. This is such a clever way of using just one part of that box!
Take 8 1/2 x 8 cardstock and turn it diagonally (diamond shape) with top at 6 inch mark.
For 3 inch cube, score 1 1/2, 3, 4 inch from the center on either side (so at 1 , 3, 4 , 7 , 9, and 10 .
Turn it 90 degrees and move the center 1/8 inch to the left and score on the right again at 7 , 9, and 10 .
Flip it over and do the same to the opposite side (The center will not be square as you need a little extra room for the folded cardstock on the sides or otherwise the cube wont fit- Ask me how I know this..)
Stamp image of your choice- here versamark was used to add subtle detail.
Fold over the first(narrower side) 2 sides in and glue in. and punch a half circle on one of the sides.
Flip up the corners and glue in the two wider sides. You now have half a box with the half circle punched out.
To make the belly band, Cut a strip of 1/2- inch 12x12 decorated paper and wrap around with the start in the front right side. There will be a small gap. Punch flowers, stack and embellish with a rhinestone brad and use stampin dimensional to attach to the gap to hide the gap or any othre appropriate embellishment to fit the gap- buttons, cut out motifs for different holidays- etc- easy, inexpensive teacher gifts- my kids' teacheres said that they'er not using it because they want to keep it so they can have a sample for when they make it for other people!
