Today's Ways to Use it Challenge (WT151) was to use staples on our card. Last summer my dear friend Shelley gave me a Fascinator for my birthday, which I hadn't used yet, so I figured it was certainly appropriate to use on a card for HER birthday!
So where are the staples on this card? I made them into the picket fence! I had only the copper staples that came with the Fascinator, so I stapled them onto white CS, swiped a Versamark pad over them, and embossed them in white EP. Then I cut them out, and glued them to 2 strips of white CS.
I stamped the winter church scene on a piece of DP, embossed in black, *painted* Versamark onto the snow areas with a rubber *brush*, embossed in white. The snowman I stamped separately on another piece of white CS, covered him with DD glitter, cut him out and mounted him on thick foam tape. I sprinkled DD glitter over the rest of the image to look like falling snow.
Everything is popped up on thick foam tape- looks much more dimensional IRL.
Thanks for looking!
Maddy

This looks awesome. I love the scene, I love the dimension and that fence is perfect. It's just awesome. And that snowman watching over is kinda cute too! Great job!!!
OMG, Maddy--a lot of thought and work went into laying out this terrific scene--love that fence and the snowbank and penguin--so full of great texture! Wonderful dimension and colors and great job on the challenge!
