This is my first card for the Holiday Stamp-a-stack that my upline and I are hosting. Is there something missing? I'm just not sure it is quite right... I am staying very simple for the new stampers in the group that will be there. Any hints or tips are greatly appreciated.

I like the way you pleated your ribbon, but my opinion is that a different color ribbon would show up better. How about black with red tied into the knot? Or just a knot of red 5/8 grosgrain put on with a glue dot?

VERY cute! Love what you did with the ribbon too I agree with the black sentiment (only 'cause I read it though) I was thinking that if you wanted to add color to the ruby red CS you could use the spritzer tool with the ruby red marker BUT it is not needed this card looks great!!!!

well, I think it's darn cute! but if you are really feeling that you MUST add something, I would go with either a very small mat of Choc. Chip cardstock underneat the Sahara Sand (as someone else has suggested) or if you don't want to intimidate newbie stampers with another layer, how about just sponging some Chocolate chip ink around the Sahara Sand layer? Would give the illusion of another layer without actually adding any more c/s.

cute! maybe different ribbon, or no ribbon, or a bigger bow, more centered and I think someone mentioned just on the focal point piece, black in good, too, the sentiment and a layer on the santa.....this is very cute, i would enjoy making it, i also enjoy remaking, too! thanks for letting us play!

It's a great card for newbies. I think a CC mat around the Sahara layer would work better than sponging because you'd lose the paper piercing with sponging. Also, maybe a contrasting ribbon would be better. Santa is adorable.

I really like it, but I'm easily swayed by all the suggestions I've read here . Now, I'm thinking maybe a mat around the Sahara sand layer like a couple others have mentioned.
