This is my submission for Monday's Technique challenge -- making a long card with retiring stamps~ The light really washed out the colors, so I may try to re-take later today. There is a wash over the sentiment around the butterfly which doesn't show at all in the picture.
I chose A Measure of a Life -- one of this year's hostess sets.
I stamped in Basic Black on watercolor paper and then used a combination of colors to paint the butterfly. I wanted it to have a Tapesty look.
I distressed the edges of each of the papers. The butterfly piece is mounted on Elegant Eggplant. The end of the ribbon was heated for texture and to keep it from fraying. The 'thank you' sentiment was stamped in Basic Black on a piece I watercolored as well.
If you can't see the two pictures - one a close-up, go to http://www.jarfullofjoy.blogspot.com and you will be able to see the main panel. Thanks for looking!
