For the Color Challenge hosted by Chris. Her fabulous color selection is: Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, and Parakeet Party. The dessert option is something warm, which could be a color.
Thank you, Chris for reminding me (us) that these In Colors will be retiring soon.
I found a pack of cards & envelopes in my stash that were perfect for these colors. My dessert is a warm color, Fresh Freesia. This color is on the coordinating envelopes and my color wheel shows it on the warm side as Red-Violet with white, so it worked out.
I die-cut the flowers from colored cardstock and the leaves from Parakeet Party polka-dot DSP. The white panel was die-cut with stitching & scallops. One card base is Starry Sky and the other is Orchid Oasis. For each of the cards, I matched the glimmer flower centers & the ink for the sentiment to the card base. Then, I swapped colors for the smaller flower and the dots.
For March, I need a lot of birthday cards, so I plan to use this design with all the rest of the cards in the pack. We hope you will join in and show us what you make! TFL
