I used today's wonderful sketch to make my Alphabet Challenge card for the letter J. This round we are focused on locations and my card is J is for Japan.
For my card, I die cut a gold mirror oval frame. I didn't have the right size so it is cut in half and extended but the two rectangles conceal that fact.
The background paper and both rectangles are all beautiful Japanese papers that were gifted to me by Jayne. I used one piece to cover the front and then cut rectangles from the other two pieces. I stamped the branch on the right rectangle. I chose a flower stamp from the Eastern Blooms set that matches the flowers in the left rectangle and stamped it in Poppy Parade and softly sponged the circle then edged it with the Galaxy Gold ink. I also put that ink in the center of the flower.
I stamped my sentiment and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I also softly sponged this card stock with the same ink as the circle to tone down the white card stock. I punched the sentiment and popped both the circle and sentiment up with foam tape.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Catherine, this is lovely!! I like how you handled the oval; wish I had thought of that hack. LOL All of the elements are placed together beautifully.
