The last three weeks we have been doing winter scenes. This is my favorite one. Thanks Kia for finding this video. It is not a card size, but painting size. Watched the video twice. Sketched it on cheap paper. The size is 9x9. Taped it down, sketched and painted trying to follow her technique. I didn't splatter the white like she did. When I took off the tape it ripped the paper. I added a little more weeds on the right side to cover the mistake. I did like how she wet the paper before we painted. Hindsight is always 20/20. I should have used better paper when using that much water. Next time. My favorite tip on this video is how she took three colors and painted the whole picture. The colors are ultra marine, burnt sienna and my favorite color quinacridone gold. Come join us for our first challenge of the new year!
