Mary is our color challenge hostess this week and her colors are Bermuda Bay, Basic Gray, and Fresh Freesia with die cuts for dessert.
I chose to combine today's challenge with Jean's Faux Wood Burning TLC. I love a good faux technique and this one is awesome! It's so easy and the results are stunning! I had this Altenew stamp set on my to do list and I thought it would look pretty nice on my faux wood. Instead of stamping the flowers, I added them in with Nuvo drops. I didn't have quite the right color, so I mixed a couple of colors together and applied with a Q-tip. I had checked out the samples for the challenge before I made my card and I loved that Sabrina lightly stamped a woodgrain pattern on hers. I was sure I had a woodgrain stamp somewhere. Fortunately, my stamps are pretty well organized in Color My Life and Evernote, so I was able to find it. I added the die cut "sweet" for dessert!
