Three challenges here: CAS-use a colored cardbase; TLC-double stenciling; and Ann's VSN-sailing.
I too live very near Lake Michigan and one of my favorite things is to drive over the Hoan Bridge and look out at the lake. I remember the last time I did that, there was a sailboat moving very fast. It was cold and windy; no idea why that was a good idea. There is always something interesting on the horizon of the Great Lakes. Often, we have a cruise ship or tall ship moored near the art museum, which is also cool to look at. If you'd like to read about the lakes, look for the book The Death and Life of the Great Lakes. So interesting!
I had this stash piece, which might have been a brayer off, secondary gel print of a swirly stencil, the one in the lighter blue. I used another watery swirly stencil in the top right in a darker blue Distress ink. The boat and sentiment are stamped in the twilight and embossed.

The beaches of Lake Michigan are probably my favorite places to be ~ we are fortunate to live within an hour of numerous beautiful beaches in SW Michigan. Your background for this sailboat is perfect and I love that sentiment!

Great card, Jean. Really like the BG you created with so much texture and interest. Great idea to angle the sentiment.
So awesome that you live near a Great Lake - they are truly magnificent bodies of water! Always interesting and changing.
