This week we are sending paper hugs to Susan, who is undergoing radiation treatment for breast cancer. So difficult.
Susan loves to camp and I do too -- well I did in my younger days. One of my very favorite things about camping was looking into the night sky away from all the glare of the city lights. The magnitude of those stars and their light is breathtaking. To me, it's one of the most beautiful sights there is.
For my card, I ink blended the Distress Inks and then splattered it with white acrylic paint. I was once gifted with this beautiful dark blue cs which I used for both the trees and the card base. I stacked it with four additional layers of cs to give it a bit of depth. The quote is computer generated using Snowflake font.
Sadly, my "stars" look more like snow, but I hope that Van Gogh quote gives her a clue. And I hope she enjoys looking at the stars as much as I do and that she, too, finds peace and comfort in doing so. I hope you are finding peace in your life right now as well. TFL

This made me gasp with delight! Love the way you did the sentiment on the white strips and I love the quote itself! The way you did your sponging is so good. Faved!

I feel sure Susan can relate to how beautiful and inspiring the night sky is when we can get away from artificial lights. You captured the feeling and majesty beautifully, Debbie!

This is so beautiful, Debbie! Seeing the stars at a campground is a real treat. We also went camping as a family while growing up and so did my DH's family, so it was in our blood and we brought our children up with camping. Once we had the youngest 2 only 15 months apart, we decided to camp in cabins, but we still had all the benefits that goes along with camping~
