I watched the video on color blocks & doodling - then promptly forgot the bit about using paler colors for the color blocks. So - the first color I picked up on my brush was a dark (almost black) midnight blue. OH DEAR! The sane part of me thought "I'll tone it down with a pale apple green" while the temperamental artist deep inside picked up a Deep Forest green. (she always wins!) While I did manage to get some lighter yellowish tones in the upper two blocks and I'm thinking the overall look is a stormy day with hints of hope . . . . perhaps indicative of the fact that I have to go to work on my usual day off. I sprinkled Kosher salt on my wet painting and actually got some lovely blooms as it dried. Stamped my "doodles" because of time restraints and "hi -ho,-hi-ho" it's off to work I go!
