I combined today's challenge with yesterday's. I chose Gayle's Lovely Flower thank you card, as it had a nice basic layout, changed the flower to leaves and cut an arched window opening instead of stamping an image on a rectangle. I die cut the tattered leaves and added color with iced spruce distress oxide ink. The top panel was die cut, embossed with the woodgrain impression plate and attached to the card base. The leaves were added and a sentiment stamped and popped up with foam tape.

I really like the texture from the woodgrain embossing--it makes the panel stand up and be noticed, yet doesn't detract from the focal point. This is such a pretty card.

This is beautiful. I love the arch and the extra interest it provides in framing those beautiful leaves. Using iced spruce kept the palette gentle and muted as well as serene and peaceful. This is a great card for so many occasions, and because it's on my mind right now, this would make a great sympathy card. Wonderful card. Pinned this for future CASE.
