Our Inspiration Challenge this week is James Street Home Decor. Thank you, Kia for an interesting site full of fresh ideas! I chose these windows.
I have to say with my commitments these days, I rarely create all in one setting. I've lots of 'in process' works. This one certainly fits. My windows were stenciled onto mixed media paper...(TCW 'Architecture'). The stencil is only two windows so I pieced together the third. The bottom was embossed with a chunky EP in turquoise. I fussy cut the window panes and put a chalked bg behind to 'be looking out'. I selected a long hoarded Cosmo Cricket 'Fleuriste' paper for the base.
My mid century modern chair was taken from a Restoration Hardware catalog, isn't it just the 'cat's meow'? The succulent basket was part of several pots from a Hobby Lobby package. And the cat in the chair? That's Rally, a rescue cat we adopted 11 years ago. He's probably 13. Just in the last year has he trusted us enough to sit in our laps, come when we call him, and give head kisses. This was the first picture of him that shows what a beautiful Mackerel tabby!
Under the window frame is 'healing takes time' with the sentiment fading out after 4 repeats. I am glad to be reminded that healing has it's own clock. I am so glad we rescued Rally (who we renamed afterward).
Thanks for hanging with me.

Touched my heart as you often do with your art. Lovely in/on many levels, my friend. God obvously put that kitty in your life - probably for him and you. The fading small sentiment is genius. Hugz
