I share a St. Patty's Day "cake and candles day" with a dear friend from grade school. Neither of us have any Irish heritage but we've almost always sent each other birthday cards with a nod to St. Patrick. (I did manage to marry into a family loaded with Irish ancestors.)
The CAS challenge this week is to include something that leaps - and leprechauns definitely leap, especially when they find that pot of gold! To keep the front of the card CAS, I put the digi image on the inside and created a little peek-a-boo window on the front. The bg paper I used is from a digi scrap kit (it was in my St. Patty's day folder in my box of 'things that must be used').
After printing the image and sentiment, I coloured, glued, embossed, die cut a window and frame, and stamped a couple of Irish blessings on the back of the card. Ready to send. My hubby tried to steal it since apparently he needs a card for someone with a St. Patrick's Day birthday.
This is also for the ABC Challenge for the letter H for Holiday. I definitely consider St. Patrick's Day a holiday! I got rather behind on the Alpha challenges in January and I'm only getting back at them now.
Thanks for stopping by.
