It's my husband's birthday at the beginning of February, and with the help of some SCS challenge ideas, I decided to focus on his returned ability to get out and walk. In keeping with our wooded scenery, I dug out an old stamp and die set of leaves, the Woodland embossing folder, some distress inking for the trees, and I created a peek-a-boo aperture for the sentiment. Other than figuring out the placement for this aperture, this card went together very fast.
My check of SCS challenges helped with the card theme and finding others that would also fit evolved into 11 challenges to be used. These are listed below:
1) AOCC22 - All Occasions Card Challenge/ February 2022. An ongoing/monthly challenge encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards more timely! This is a much needed birthday card for my husband's early February birthday. Already given and received!
2) USEIT2022 - Use It Challenge/ January 2022. An ongoing/ annual challenge that requires you to use OLD/ DUSTY and long unused items and/or OLD/NEW items purchased, never used, and seemingly forgotten! My OLD item(s): Woodland EF, Vintage Leaves stamps, Leaflets Framelits, metallic twine, 1/4" ribbon.
3) MMTPT679 - Teapot Challenge/ Destinations? - 7/27/21. Choose a fantasy vacation...what would you do? Mine is a 4-month USA trip to all the best destinations to view fall colors. This trip would have to start in mid- to late August to Alaska's Denali National Park via a train excursion and end in Florida and the southern states.
4) F4A607 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Fall - 10/8/20. Challenge: Show something you might see in the fall.
5) IC767 - Inspiration Challenge/ Garden Fence - 8/15/20. I chose this fence for its beautiful colors and rustic design. I've incorporated both into my card: Dreamers Can't Be Tamed!
6) FS685 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ She Sure is Paper Crafty (aka PaperCrafty / Sheri Gilson) - 3/22/20. I found this card to CASE: Life is Good!. This is what I did: KEPT: leaf w/twine and background embossing. ADDED: more leaves--layered & rotated; E-folder w/ ink distressing; Wink of Stella-Gold to leaf veins to add sparkle, though subtle; more color BG mats; peek-a-boo sentiment aperture; horizontal ribbon band.
7) ABC10L18 - Alphabet Challenge/ Letter L - 12/16/19. My card's L = leaves. (No double challenge).
DINSP0119 - Fan Club Monthly Theme--January 2019/ Winter Woods - 1/15/19. My card fits the theme with its wooded tree embossed background. It's for the Inspiration picture challenge. My inspiration: outdoor, wooded theme and colors.
9) WT717 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ Window to the World - 12/6/18. Challenge: Create a card with a window. Mine is a punched window with a peek-a-boo sentiment.
