This week I am hosting the challenge and we are learning to paint Bluebirds. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
This is the tutorial:
I wanted to paint holly/berries instead of flowers but you can do what you like. I haven't got to make many winter cards this year so that is what I have.
I love birds and the Eastern Bluebird is my favorite so I painted my bird like them. Then, I painted some holly and berries. I think the bird finds them tasty.
I added a snowbank, sky, and, and bit of falling snow.
The paper behind the focal image was some I have had for a long time and it seemed it wanted to be distressed so that is what it got.

Seeing an bluebird is a rare treat where I am. I remember my aunt (a long, long time ago) helping to put up bluebird boxes on the country fence lines. Love your snowy background and the holly greenery. Beautiful winter card!

What an amazing painting! Brenda your watercolor is so beautifully done! The scene you created is perfect. Even your distressed framing adds to its beauty.
