I made this card for the ABC challenge, L for lace. It is also for my mom who is the recipient of cards from this week's teapot challenge, "Share Your Joy."
I love red and it was my Dad's favorite color, too. I'm sure this card will bring a smile to my mom's face. Dad always bought her the biggest, prettiest Valentine's Day cards!
I wrapped lace around all 4 sides my red panel, taping it on the back and then securing it with the shiny heart brads. The center square and sentiment was stamped 3 times in red, coloring in the red lined area, then, cutting the layers apart. I used 3D pop dots to adhere the layers to the card.
Great challenges Polly and Ann! Thank so much!

Oh Gracie - I love the old-fashioned look of the lace borders on this Valentine. I have several hundred yards of lace left over from my days of making square dance dresses. All of it is ruffled so gets very bulky on a card but I think it's time to unbind at least some of it and get it flattened out. You have inspired me with your lacy card!

What a fabulous looking lacy Valentine for your mom, Gracie. I used to buy my mum cards like this for Valentine's day when I was little. Not sure where I got the money to do so as I did not get an allowance, lol. Maybe I stole it, ha ha! Love the shiny red heart brads. I am sure your Mom will love this!
