This week's yummy colors are Mango Melody, Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green with blue for dessert. This card is similar to one I have made for a color challenge in the past, but I thought the mango and melon would make some beautiful butterflies and I love that trailing leaf stamp from PB so I reprised the card with a few changes.
Many moons ago I took a Copic Classroom class (they no longer offer these) and the butterfly was the sample for an ink blending lesson using two different colors as opposed to shades of one color. I love this butterfly and the blending technique so I use it often. I fussy cut the butterflies and, as usual, snipped off their antennae. I used an antenna from a die cut butterfly set and cut it down to fit the size of the these guys. The sentiment is only part of the PB stamp. I used two of the infinity dies to cut the blue frame.
I used Kim's ever-so-helpful Copic to SU chart and even though the Copics look a bit darker to me than the SU colors, I do think the butterflies look grand in this combo -- like fancy Monarchs. Here's the link to Kim's blog: https://joyfulcreationswithkim.blogspot.com
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you can get all fancy this week too.
P.S. If you are interested in the Copic blending technique: Apply the first color flicking from the middle out; apply the second color flicking from the outer edge back toward the middle slightly overlapping the first ink. Naturally the color changes a bit where the two meet so keep that in mind when choosing colors. I usually do my colors twice to get a blend I like. TFL

This is stunning! I love how you used the colors. Your background is a stunner. Butterflies and bright colors are my favorite things in January! This is a delight! I like the way you colored the butterflies!
