My take on the sketch challenge - I underestimated the size of my image so the horizontal panel is a bit larger than the sketch.
I've had this image for about two years and have never inked it!! I just love watching the birds in our yard - they go through the sunflower seeds at a very rapid rate! Unfortunately, cardinals don't make it to our neck of the woods and the robins have long since departed for warmer temps. Thankfully, the chickadees keep us entertained all winter.
Stamped on the smoother side of the wc paper and used my aquapainter and a small brush to 'paint' the distress inks onto the image. Used a small paintbrush to apply the stickles to the snowy bits. Mounted the image on a black panel and popped it up on dimensionals.

This is such a lovely village of bird houses. I too love watching the birds. I guess our noisy cockatoos, rosellas, galahs and king parrots are just a little different from yours. Giggle.
