For this week's Inspiration Challenge, we are headed to the Jolly Christmas Shop. I found this set of reindeer ornaments. I decided to use a die set that I gotten on sale a couple of months ago. Why I decided to get something that has this many parts is beyond me, but I went ahead and cut out several of each. After spending way too much time sponging, assembling and embellishing the deer, I then pilfered through all my different Christmas paper a couple of times to find paper for each set. I added vellum ovals behind the deer to tone down the backgrounds. Embossed the sentiments and backed each panel with mirrorcard to match the embossed sentiment. Embellished with glossy accents, stickles and snowflake punches.

I love how these turned out - but I hear you on the finicky die issue. I've had a little die set of positively adorable robins in my cart at an online store for weeks but I keep playing "catch and release" with it because of all the little pieces. Kudos to you for your perseverance because the result is awesome.

I'm glad you had the patience to assemble those deer because they are adorable! I love the vellum 'moonrise' behind them. Adds another layer of interest to some gorgeous cards!
