I'm submitting this for several challenges:
1) yesterday's teaparty for us!
2) today's sketch...nice one, I love the open spaces!
3) ABC15V for vintage
4) Mary's DTGD21 challenge
The teaparty request was for a fall card, using two coordinating DSPs, and a message of encouragement. I used today's sketch but making it slimline because I wanted to use as much of the Pepin Press marbled papers as possible. There are two patterns if you look closely. As usual, I made this up along the way. I have a container of new items, not yet used, which is the trees die and sentiment. I edged all the papers with the ep, cut a mess of the little leaves and embossed them too. I'll probably add more since I cut a lot but I got a little tired of it.
Finally, Mary R's DTGD21 challenge, which you can check out in that thread and today's ABC15 vintage challenge. To me, vintage means 'of a certain time period or era', so it could be almost anything if it's in the past. Marbled papers started to be created in China around 986 CE. The oldest paper marbling business in the western world is in Venice, dating back to the 15th century. I thought the script of the sentiment looked rather 'old world', sort of da Vinci-esque.
Yes, this is rather busy but I love it!

This scene reminds me so much of something that Vincent Van Gogh would turn out. The blue trees against the marbled background - stunning. All it needs is a little sunflower somewhere.
