This week we were invited to visit the marvelous Gallery of Natalie (aka Natalieoshea), our latest Featured Stamper. I loved her crisp, fresh designs and color palettes and found much to inspire. The dp on this card, however, reminded me of a stamp I love but rarely use, and it was the perfect colors for me -- blue and green. Heal Your Heart by Natalieoshea at Splitcoaststampers
I kept her landscape orientation but wanted to try my hand at a split front card so I changed the layout a bit. I don't have that Subtle EF Natalie used, so I used Bark for my texture on the blue portions. I like her Subtle better so I would switch that up next time. I stamped three of the roses from the set, colored with Copics and then cut with the coordinating dies. I then randomly stamped the same three roses on a white panel. I used the negative die cut as a mask and pounced the CP inks onto the flowers and leaves. Afterwards I laughed because the Copic flowers looked so much liked the pounced flowers -- I could have saved myself some time coloring. LOL. Because the cut flowers blended into the panel too well, I thought I needed an anchor and used a decorative circle die to mimic the circle Natalie used for her sentiment. I didn't want to cover up the floral panel, so I added a die cut sentiment off to the side. This was my first split front card and I learned a couple things about the sizing -- like when you add the decorative strips it changes it. Unfortunately, I decided to wait to trim it until after I had it popped up with foam tape. So afer trimming, trimming, trimming, trimming, I went with the wonky edges. LOL. I knew better, but hope springs eternal.
Congratulations Natalie on being this week's Featured Stamper. You have a wonderful Gallery and I found so much to inspire. I hope you enjoy the cards you have inspired this week. And, I hope everyone is having a wonderful, inky day...wonky edges and all. TFL
Edit: After viewing several cards here, I was reminded that this month's Fan Club theme is popping in. My panels are popped up, so I am adding this to the monthly theme challenge too. Thanks for the reminder all.

Debbie, you have rocked these two colors. And such a wonderful design too with that split front. Wow! Love those flower images and I like how you added the thin sentiment on that big happy!
I am really drawn to the pounced flowers! I am always on the lookout for time savers and pouncing vs detailed coloring is a time saver and they really do look just as good. The colors are stunning on this beautiful card.
