I have know idea what this bear is looking for but I really don't care as long as it's not for me! Right?
Karen is this week's Color Challenge hostess for CC861! She has selected some beautiful fall colors, Pool Party, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow with the dessert option 'Designer Paper'!
I hunted through my stash of current dsp and couldn't find any that would be appropriate for this week's challenge so I decided to create my own. The two patterns here are from the paper pack Pattern Party, this package has numerous black and white designs, with this in mind, I choice to colore the stripes and the leaves on both papers using Pool Party and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends. However, I ran into a problem when I didn't have the Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends so I improvised by combining two colors of Copics to try and match the Cajun Craze. It doesn't look the greatest in the photo but it blends a little better IRL.
I dry embossed the square negative of one of the leaves in Basic Black cardstock to add some interest to the focal point.
The Pool Party sentiment panel was stamped in black ink and framed in Basic White.
I hope you join the design team this week in sharing your take on Karen's wonderful color choices! Thank you for taking a look!

Brilliant idea to create you own by coloring and the results look fabulous. I love the look of the resultant bold print and the way you framed it with the negative leaf die cut. This is one bold, beautiful design.

How very resourceful you are, LeAnn! You did a fantastic job creating your background. I love how you used the negative space from the leaf die to showcase it as well. You have a great, clean and crisp creation here.
