I used Kia for my inspiration choice.
It was a fun day filled with laughter and learning the art of card making with my friend Kia we both finished one card each. Being new it's overwhelming with all that goes into card making, I feel lucky to have Kia take me under her wing. I hope you enjoy my card that will be send to a friend who has been in the hospital.
I started my card with the top layer smooshing with Distress Ink. The green 2nd layer or the mat was sponged using Distress Ink. The leaves were die cut using Penny Black and the 3x sentiment was from Picket Fence Studios. Gluing the 3x sentiments together and smooshing on the leaves with Distress Ink the card was coming together all that was left to do was attach the pieces to a card and add a few gems/sequins. Perfect Pearls and water mixture for the shimmer sprayed on the card and Nuvo Glitter Gloss for sentiment.

This doesn't look like a card from an "overwhelmed" stamper -- it's beautiful in every aspect. Isn't smooshing and blending fun. Love both techniques and you showcase them beautifully here. Sorry your friend has been ill, but I am sure she will appreciate this card and will feel the "hug" when she sees this beauty.
