Ironically I have just made three guy birthday cards and that's all I need till well into next year. So this will probably go to someone of either sex who likes beaches.
I coloured the image with markers, stamping repeatedly. Stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear, then painted in the foreground and the sky with a mix of regular watercolours and Twinkling H2Os. To get the mixed media in, rather lameley, I added some Aleene's Glitter Snow, and some Stickles, on the water. Distressed the edges, and popped it up on a craft layer stamped with IO Geologic in Versamark and embossed with clear EP. Added this to a cream base, and added the sentiment in a sort of sandy beach colour, going round the edge of the trimmed piece with a black marker for a little definition.

Sabrina, I am so tickled my card inspired you! Your water and sky are painted perfectly for depth and beautifully for a beach visiting day. I especially like how you created the frothy look of the waves coming in and lapping the shore. Beautiful and tranquil scene.

Such a wonderful serene scene; love the water lapping and your lovely coloring and shading...a great piece of art! Enlarge it and it would make a beautiful scene for a focal painting on anyone's wall. It truly looks like a thumbnail of a large BEAUTIFUL painting!
