but in honor of Princess Diana, Gucci and I have issued a handbag commemorating (strange word to use) the 20th anniversary of her death. Thanks, Sue for the challenge.
What a bright and fresh presence Diana was in the society of the Royals. I pondered what fashion statement I wanted to make for our swap. Not easy to top the Princess, but I came across Favorite Gucci Bag and just knew it was time to create a pink bag.
My template is a very old Deja Views. Inside I added 3 double sided pages...lots of room (who doesn't need a purse with plenty of pockets?)!
Most of the pages I kept as surprises for the recipient. So much fun to find pink 'stuff' and construct the 'a Gucci, it's not'.
The front/back and inside is a double sided Basic Grey 'Kissing Booth' Lip Lock. I used a Tim Holtz EF (a large oval) on the front. The large button is in the center and the brass fleur-de-lis on the flap. I really really wanted some bamboo for the handles (another stamp shopping opportunity, right?)
Thank you for your comments! Can't wait to visit the gallery...

I am just in awe of this creation, Susan. I am not especially talented in creating in the 3D world, so have a true appreciation for those who have that vision. This is so thoughtfully constructed and I can only imagine what it holds inside. Lucky the recipient of this wondrous tribute to the People's Princess- Diana.
