This is my card for CC858. Chris is our hostess and she chose poppy parade, bumblebee and soft succulent for her color trio. Dessert option this week is dry embossing.
For my card, as you can see, I went with a Christmas theme. I used the Stampin'-Up poinsettia dies to die cut and then emboss my petals. The leaves are cut in soft succulent and then I used the same color ink and sponged the edges for a deeper color shade.
The sentiment is from the Stampin'-Up Christmas toile set. My background paper is from the "Painted Christmas" collection.
I added some gold cord behind the poinsettia for interest and a couple of berry sprigs. That's my sample for this week.
Hope you can play along with us. Chris has chosen some great colors for your adventures in card making.

This is stunning. The use of the script dp for your bg is perfection. It is so lovely and that gorgeous poinsettia just leaps off the page. Your embellishments and sentiment strip are equally gorgeous. Awesome card.

I love the look of the dsp you've chosen to place behind that gorgeous poinsettia! Your sentiment diecut balances out your beautiful design so nicely!
