Hello my friends! I get to host the color challenge this week and I've chosen a combination I hope you will find adaptable to any theme you have in mind: Bumblebee, Soft Succulent, Poppy Parade. Dessert is dry embossing.
These colors made me think of the warm happy colors of late summer. I tapped the inside of my embossing folder with a bit of white craft ink to give just a bit more definition to the floral design of the folder. The flowers/leaves were punched and colored with my Blends alcohol markers. I curled the petals just a bit after attaching them to my card with dimensionals.
Thanks so much for looking! Please play along with us - I'm excited to see what you create!

I noticed, right away, that the high spots of the flowers and leaves were more defined and was anxious to read how you accomplished that. The fine succulent strip lends a finished appearance to the white border. Such a pretty card!

Chris this card is wonderful. There are several things that I like about it. What you did to that embossing folder just makes a huge difference in a good way. I like the little strips of soft succulent here and there and another pop of that color with the sentiment. Your flowers are colored so nicely. I can see that you put a lot of thought into this card and it certainly shows. Thanks for picking such nice colors this week and thanks for the nice comment you left on my card.

This card just puts a smile on my face, Chris! I love the added white ink to your embossed background and the design of the card with the sentiment panel mirroring the left edge. Outstanding!

Gorgeous! Love the look of the white ink on that yellow panel. Fabulous layout too and I love the slim lines of green matting throughout. The pops of fun red from those sweet flowers really complete the look. This is one happy card! Fav'd.
