When I saw my inspiration dress I saw colors flowing across the night sky, rather than the floral print on dark chiffon. It probably has something to do with having lived in Alaska for 57 years! I started in the center of my panel, blending antique linen, then added the evergreen, violet, deep blue and ending with some black soot. I splattered on some black soot and framed the piece with the die cut tree panel. The sentiment was stamped in Archival jet black. I'm pretty happy with the scene. I think I'll try another and add in the reds you get, if you're far enough north, when viewing the northern lights.

This is stunning!!! I’m totally loving the sky you created by flipping the colors and repeating them - a mirror image sky! I’ve never seen this done and am tucking it into my Favs so I can remember how you did it! Nicely done!
