I would like to introduce Mary as our hostess for this week's Color Challenge CC854. Mary has selected some perfect colors for our dessert option, Christmas in July. Her color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, and Gold.
I've been out of the loop for a couple of week's and am trying to regain my mojo... Here's my take on Mary's challenge for this week. My goal was to focus on making the gold 'POP' so I used a Basic Black card base and built up from there. I thought it might make a great contrast for my Cherry Cobbler poinsettia to use the Shaded Spruce dsp with gold veins. The poinsettia was colored with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends, followed by stamping in Cherry Cobbler ink. The leaves were water colored with Shaded Spruce ink and followed by stamping in Shaded Spruce. The poinsettia center is filled with rhinestones to give it some glitz with the finishing touch of heat embossing the sentiment in gold.
I hope you join the design team by creating your Christmas in July card, we would love to be inspired!
Thank you for taking a look!

I didn't think your mojo had left, but if so, it's back bigtime now! What a gorgeous card, LeAnn. All that gold really pops against the black, love the green/gold paper and of course that fantastic poinsettia. Wow!
