I sponged my background like she did but I did it on crumbcake intead of white. I also added in another layer and used different stamps, but I kept the Sympathy theme. This is going to a friend at work who lost her Mother this week. I used some faded flowers from my parents' graveside on this as well. She likes haunted places like I do so that should not freak her out.
Rae, thanks for the inspiration and congrats on being the Feature Stamper!

I think Susan perfectly captured my reaction to this fabulous card. It is truly a work of the heart and it shows. Your sentiment is perfection. Condolences for your friend and kudos to you for this gift of love, encouragement and support.

Love this Nancy - we were inspired by the same card today - your sponged background and added DP panel is gorgeous in the darker foresty colors - so sad for your friend - I'm sure she will love this card!

Wonderful sympathy card. It wouldn't freak me out at all that you used flowers from a family gravesite. I like the addition of the flowers..I think it makes it more personal and shows caring and kindness...almost like an honor if that makes sense. Just beautiful.
