The MIX this week, hostessed by Polly (peeps321) is the Reverse Stencil Technique. There are so many ways (and videos to support those ways). I admit to watching quite a few before I arrived at Carol Dube. I did enjoy this process.
Our Inspiration hostess this week is Kia (kiagc). She has selected an interior decorator's Pinterest page...talk about gorgeous inspiration...embroidered jacket. Thanks Kia!
My stencil is from TCW 6x6 Rebekah Meier 'Art is Love'. I love the vibe, very sixties, flower power, and free love (whoever coined that phrase?????). And used dressmaking details, adding the mini beads, the vintage floral lace, a burlap and silvered trim, fussy cut the sentiment and applied over back over the original words. They were sprayed with Tattered Angels Shimmer Spray.
Thank you, Polly for the Reverse Stencil MIX. Stencils are a blast! Can't wait to see what inspired our community this week. I'd love to hear what you think...

You totally rocked your inspired piece, Susan. Beautiful jacket, Beautiful card. The distressed bg looks like rain to me. Pretty crochet flower trim and lovely piece adorning your free-spirited young lady's hair~

What a treat, holding this textural beauty IRL. The beads and bling beckon to be touched. Stenciled letters...not always easy. Now, after the fact, I checked out the jacket inspiration pic and my jaw dropped.

A big wow on this card!!!! I love every detail. The vintage trims are beautiful and your piece is so like your inspiration. I loved that jacket, too. Loving all your gold accessories and that awesome sentiment. You go to the top of the class with both challenges.

Luv your work baby. Ah the 60s…just a little bit before my time *wink* (not) although when I was 10 I wore flowing skirts and had a cow bell dangling around my neck and flowers in my hair lol. Why didn’t my parents get a photo of that. Back to your awesome card. Love all the texture, colours. It’s just brilliant. TFS. Happy day
