Seeing this week's TLC is to make an eclipse card, I wanted to participate in the gallery. I love making this type of card, even if they are a little persnickety. I sort of like persnickety!?
The background was made quite awhile ago, but I thought it was perfect to use for this technique. There are 5 layers, counting the top one. I like to use the double stick adhesive sheets for the backing on the main panel, then all I have to do is stick the layered piece back into the cut out. Kraft c/s was used for the 4 layers of backing, which are all glued together. When done with the eclipsing, I splattered gold Lumiere paint over the top.
Using your embossing tools helps in getting all the chads back into the correct places!

Thanks for the eclipse challenge Karen!

Not only is your created bg FABULOUS, Jennifer....but you went all out with the die cut words. I admire your perfection, since I find it difficult to stack up all those die cut precisely. You created an impressive and beautiful card.

Love the colours, especially with the added gold spatter. And for so many letters, only three bits you had to take care not to lose - or 5, if you count the dots!
